Rafał Trzaskowski, the Mayor of Warsaw, ran as the Civic Platform candidate in the 2020 Polish presidential election, promoting a pro-European and liberal agenda. He narrowly lost the runoff to incumbent Andrzej Duda, securing 48.97% of the vote.
